Enter the bill amount, choose a tip percentage (presets for 10%, 15%, 18%, 20% and 25%, or type your own), and set how many people are splitting the bill. The tip, the grand total and the per-person share all update as you change any value: a $50 bill at 18% is $9.00 of tip and $59.00 in total, or $14.75 each between four people. It is built for the everyday cases: tipping at a restaurant, splitting a check evenly with friends, or sanity-checking the tip suggested on a receipt. Because the percentage and the group size are both free-form, a 12.5% service charge or a table of nine works exactly like a quick solo calculation. Everything is computed locally in your browser, so no amounts are uploaded and nothing is stored between visits.
