The "As of" field beside it starts on today's date, so you get your age right now; set it to any other date to ask how old someone was, or will be, on that day. The breakdown follows real calendar rules, including leap years and varying month lengths, so the figure is accurate rather than a rough days-divided-by-365 estimate. That matters when you are filling in a form, checking an eligibility cutoff, working out a precise age for a birthday or anniversary, or just counting how many days you have been alive. Enter any past date, not only your own birthday, and you get how old someone born then is today, or how long ago that day was. The calculation runs in your browser using your local clock, so your date of birth is never sent anywhere: there is no backend and no network request while you use it.

How precise is the calculation?
- Down to the minute, using your device's clock. Years, months, and days follow calendar rules, leap years included, so the count does not drift the way a days-divided-by-365 estimate does.
Can I calculate age as of a date other than today?
- Yes. The "As of" field defaults to today, and you can set it to any other date, past or future: the tool then measures from the birth date to that reference date. Leave it untouched and you get the age as of right now.
Is my data safe?
- Yes. The tool is a static client-side app with no backend. Your input is processed by JavaScript running inside your browser tab and is never transmitted anywhere. You can confirm by opening DevTools → Network: using the tool produces zero outbound HTTP requests.
